A charming studio pottery piece of twin handled form having a hand painted crosshatch border with a Folk Art style sailing ship central decoration.
Willie was born in Wick in the far north of Scotland and has pursued a successful career as a potter for over 25 years. His studio is in Farndon at Top Farm Pottery. Here he has developed a range of mainly thrown, highly decorated Earthenware, each piece individually brush decorated with a variety of animals and fish in Mediterranean colours.
