A beautiful antique chinoiserie papier-mâché bowl featuring a black lacquered exterior ground decorated with hand-painted polychrome scenes.
The decorative program depicts figures in traditional dress, tiered-roof structures, and various botanical motifs. The interior is finished in a dark reddish-brown lacquer.
