CHINESE QING DYNASTY CELADON FLOOR VASE

£600.00

Large Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty blue & white celadon ground floor vase with hand painted immortal decoration

A large celadon-ground baluster floor vase in blue-and-white, painted with a lively gathering of robed Daoist immortals in a temple setting surround. The neck carries two applied dragon-lizard handles in cobalt; their scaled forms modelled in relief with characteristic Qing vigor.

The unglazed foot ring shows coarse sandy paste with iron spotting; the base is unmarked. The vase dating to the late Qing Dynasty period circa 1900. A large-scale and highly detailed example of Qing export porcelain with strong decorative presence — the immortals subject and generous scale make this a compelling display piece ideal for floor or mantle display.

The vase has some light age related glazing issues but is generally in a good clean condition being free of any chips or cracking.
