A stylish Parian bust example of Apollo modelled by C Delpech. Produced by Delpech for the Art Union of London in 1861 it is an interpretation after the Classical Belvedere statue.
The bust having a good level of detail throughout being raised atop a stylish socle base and baring the Delpech signature to its reverse. A striking decorative mantle or table-top example.
The bust has some minor age related surface wear but is generally in a good clean condition free of any visible faults or defects.
